Ylearn don’t’s

 If your device is experiencing problem, do not login immediately from another device. Opening one Ylearn account from more than one device will get you blocked. Log out from the first, only then try logging in from the second.

 After you start the test, do not exit Ylearn and go to another app. This will cause your screen to be locked out - and you will be asked to write your reason why you are locked out in order to be able to go back to the exam screen. This reason needs to be of a minimum 8 characters. We will review this, and if we feel we have a valid ground, we will disqualify you.

Competition day

ISMC 2020 Thailand is on Saturday 5 September 9 to 10.30AM. Participants should have joined the Zoom meeting by 8.30AM on that day. Each "paper" has 25 questions: Section A 10 questions containing 2 marks each, Section B 10 questions containing 4 marks each, and Section C 5 questions containing 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10 marks respectively - making a total of full score of 100 marks. No penalty (no score deduction) - and thus, we strongly encourage you to answer all questions! Calculators are not allowed for Primary 2 to 4, it is allowed for Primary 5 and 6.

Dry runs (tryouts)

We have scheduled three dry runs: one each on Tue 1 Sep, Wed 2 Sep and Thu 3 Sep. Each will last for 15 minutes and can be taken once anytime between 7AM to 7PM. All the dry runs are not marked and will not affect your competition results. The purpose of this dry run is: for you to get to adapt to the online environment.

We encourage you to take the dry run (try out) test every day as we have created different tests for the three days. If some of the questions are too difficult for you, do not worry - this does not count to your results. On the contrary, if the questions are too easy, please be informed that this is not in any way a reflection of the level of difficulty of your actual test.

Unit in answers

You do not need to write any unit, except if specifically instructed otherwise by the question.
