What is SiL?
SiL English Test 2025 is a meticulously designed, research-backed English language competition that offers comprehensive result assessments for Students.
It helps students identify their key strengths and areas for improvement while providing schools with in-depth performance reports to enhance their English language programs.
Aligned with the British National Curriculum, the test focuses on essential linguistic skills — Reading, Grammar, and Vocabulary.

SiL English Subject Test Learning Resources
The Sample Papers have been designed to match the style and difficulty of the actual Test Papers, but please note these samples ARE NOT the same as the actual papers. We make our sample papers available to all stakeholders, including schools, parents, and students, providing free access to serve as a reference. This enables participants to familiarise themselves with the types of questions, texts, and vocabulary that can be anticipated in the actual tests. SiL Information:
Eligibility: The SiL English Test 2025 is open to all Thailand students from Year 1 to Year 9 (Pre-Primary to Secondary 2).
Date & Time: The test will be held on 7 June 2025 and takes approximately 45 to 75 minutes to complete.
Participants can select their preferred date and approximate time during registration. A fixed timeslot will be assigned and confirmed closer to the test date.
Mode: We offer two test modes for participants:
Option 1: Online at Home
• Participants can take the test online from the comfort of their home.
• They must log into Zoom for invigilation.
• Requirements: A laptop with a webcam, a stable internet connection, and a quiet room.
Option 2: At School (Paper-based or Online)
• Participants can take the test at their school or tuition center.
• The test can be either paper-based or online.
• Teachers at the school or center will handle the invigilation.
• Note: This option is only available if the participant's school is conducting the test.
Format: The test assesses key language skills in Reading, Grammar, and Vocabulary through 40 multiple-choice questions.
Each question is worth 1 mark, making the total score 40 marks.
Test Structure
• Part A: Reading (6 questions)
• Part B: Reading (6 questions)
• Part C: Reading (5 questions)
• Part D: Grammar (17 questions)
• Part E: Vocabulary (7 questions)
Certs & More
Each participating student will get a certificate and result slip issued by, SiL.
Our scheme differentiates the performance of students by the level of awards that they will receive. The certificate and the scheme are as follows:
-Top Performance Award (+ Medal) for the Top 1% participants.
-Gold Award for the next 10%.
-Silver Award for the next 25%.
-Bronze Award for the next 50%.
-Certificate of Participation to all remaining participants.
Our team will send the electronic version of the students’ certificates as well as their result slips directly to the hosting Schools and the National Coordinators, they will be the ones that ensure the printing and distribution of the documents to the students or parents. This will save time and avoid certificates and results getting lost.

Refund Policy
Refund is permissible if you cannot attend the competition on the scheduled date due to health condition, and the replacement date is not available. You must produce a valid medical certificate to request the refund of the participation fee.
